Our logo embodies the essence of our mission and values, reflecting our commitment to sustainability, harmony with nature, and the journey towards a better world.
The turtle, revered for its symbolism of peace and longevity, serves as a powerful representation of our dedication to fostering a tranquil and enduring environment. Like the turtle, we persistently navigate the path towards our goals, regardless of the challenges or the length of the journey.
The double spiral featured in our logo signifies the spiral of life, representing growth, transformation, and the eternal cycle of existence.
It also highlights the interconnectedness of all living beings and the balance between opposing forces.
Furthermore, the lush green and deep brown hues in our logo symbolize the earth and the abundant plant life that sustains it. They evoke a sense of harmony with nature and remind us of our responsibility to protect and nurture the natural world.
Overall, our logo serves as a visual representation of our mission to create a sustainable sanctuary where people and nature thrive together in harmony.
At Wild Turtle, we're familiar with a plethora of terms like Eco-concept, Eco-project, Eco-village, and many more. While these terms are often used for greenwashing, we align with the core principles they represent. However, what truly matters is the tangible actions we take to embody these ideals. Our commitment extends beyond labels, as we actively strive to create a sustainable, environmentally conscious community.
Our vision is deeply rooted in nurturing the ecological harmony of our land. Our journey began with a steadfast commitment to restoring the land's natural balance, from reintroducing native fauna to combating erosion and waste pollution.
Through diligent efforts, we've created diverse habitats for a multitude of species, including humans, fostering a vibrant ecosystem teeming with life.
From the outset, our focus has been on sustainable practices, employing natural building methods such as adobe and cob straw, and harnessing resources sourced directly from the land. We've planted over 300 indigenous trees, propagated over 1000 Mediterranean plants from scratch, and established small gardens for experimental vegetable cultivation.
In parallel, we've developed living spaces for ourselves and volunteers, incorporating biodynamic gardening techniques, nurturing key plants in our plant nursery, and cultivating seeds sourced from friends and neighbors.
At the heart of our ethos lies a commitment to eco-conscious living, where every action resonates with our deep love for nature and our desire to forge sustainable human connections.
Beyond mere discussions, our passion fuels tangible actions – from recycling wastewater to maintaining a healthy compost, installing comfortable composting dry toilets, employing natural building techniques, sourcing locally, and minimizing our use of plastics.
Beyond our haven, we aspire to set an example for the burgeoning eco-tourism industry in Morocco, encouraging the adoption of eco-friendly practices for a cleaner and more accessible country.
Our overarching goal has always been to move towards off-grid living, interconnecting all systems to harmonize with all living beings.
Through our actions, we aim to inspire others to join us in our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future.
